Program Manager

We are looking for a Program Manager, to join the Engineering team in Columbia, MD.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage project plans end to end (concept to delivery).
  • Define project scope, goals and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with project leads and senior management.
  • Develop full-scale project plans and associated communications documents.
  • Estimate the resources needs and track usage department wide.
  • Set and continually manage project expectations with team members and other stakeholders.
  • Identify and resolve issues and conflicts within the project team.
  • Identify and manage project dependencies and critical path.
  • Plan and schedule project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools.
  • Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plans.
  • Define project success criteria and disseminate them to involved parties throughout project life cycle.
  • Conduct project post mortems and create a recommendations report in order to identify successful and unsuccessful project elements.
  • Develop best practices and tools for project execution and management.

Requirements:

    Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science/Electrical Engineering/Related Field with

  • 10 to 15 years of total experience or Master’s Degree in the same with 8 to 13 years of total experience.
  • At least 6 years of experience as a Program/Project Manager.
  • At least 3 years of experience managing senior development team
  • PMP certification is a must.
  • Experience of managing projects involving both hardware and software development.
  • Good understanding of Hardware/Software Development Lifecycle.
  • Good understanding of CMMI and ISO certifications.
  • Experience at working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment is essential.
  • Can conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
